BIOGRAPHY
EDGAR HERRERA
Born and raised in Mexico; I have been passionate about filmmaking and directing since I was young.
I consider myself to be a person that always looks forward to improving himself and expanding his horizons. I always work hard to get to where I want, earning my place there.
I am a very capable and versatile person, having knowledge of different areas of studies, thanks to my will to learn and improve. My knowledge goes from understanding the basics of computer science to a more profound comprehension of digital and 3D art. Nonetheless, thanks to my bachelor’s degree subjects and to my admiration for the digital narratives and feature films, I have been able to work in some original short films.

My first short film in which real actors and real staff were hired and directed by me.
It was and has been one of the best experiences that I have had.
Ven Por Mí

The teaser of a new sci-fi short film that I will direct.
This short film shows my love for one of the recurring genre that I work with as well as serving like an homage to old slasher movies.
Lip Synch

An animation in which I explore the complexity of lip synching as well as other principles from the industry used 12 animation principles.
Two Characters Interaction

This animation was a bigger challenge since I could only use 2 shots and I had to animate and make some kind of interaction with 2 characters.
It was a well welcomed challenge.
Halloween Scene Recreation

One of the biggest challenges that I had to face. This short film was made during the start of the covid pandemic and it was pre-produced, produced and post-produced by me, while I had to deal with a timeframe shorter than the usal.
